Born and raised in Southern California, Ben Wilson began blowing glass with his older brother Luke Wilson, AKA Leisure Glass, as an apprentice in early 2004. Ben apprenticed with Luke for eight months before working independently. Ben also took classes from glass artists Milon Townsend and “Smiley.” Ben opened B. Wilson Glass studio in 2011 and continues to make glass heavily influenced by his brother Luke. B. Wilson Glass studio’s goal is to create designs with great function, affordability, and a little style. Ben plans on keeping his studio small scale so he can continue to operate in the mom and pop way of doing things. Ben Wilson appreciates the opportunity to make glass for a living, and takes pride in hooking up folks with good product for good prices.
